Kevin Faux

In 2009 he took the new role of Buildings Technology Manager responsible for the fit out and maintenance of the Hatfield CFC and all Ocado spokes. Kevin led the design and construction of the Dordon CFC ensuring the electrics, sprinklers and refrigeration services were constructed to a level of resiliency required by the business. Kevin was promoted to Head of Construction and Buildings Technology in 2015 and is responsible of the construction, fit-out and maintenance of all of existing and new CFCs and spokes. Before joining Ocado, Kevin held various manufacturing and engineering management positions in large FMCG organisations.

Mark Fryer

Head of Automation Engineering

Mark joined Ocado 12 years ago at the end of a graduate scheme; numerous roles later, including in areas related to sustaining engineering and operations, he is now Head of Automation Engineering. Having successfully grown the automation within the Hatfield CFC and overseen the automation solutions delivered for the world-class Dordon CFC, his team recognised that the materials handling equipment market was limiting Ocado’s innovation and ability to deliver an amazing customer offer. Thus Mark evolved Automation Engineering to develop and prototype proprietary automation and robotics solutions, and partner with manufacturers to supply, install and commission the leading-edge equipment populating the next-generation Ocado CFCs. This process required a doubling of the team every few years as they internalised the technical expertise.
